This wedding was one of beauty and simplicity, located at the Holimont Ski Resort in Ellicottville, NY, complete with a hilltop ceremony and a beautiful reception following at the Lodge area in typical Eastern Ski Country fashion. As per request of the Bride, I was there from 8am to around 10pm, shooting the before ceremony, during and after at the reception. I made sure to find time for plenty of detail photographs as well, to share some of the bride’s artistic ideals behind the wedding. A very classically beautiful ceremony and reception with a stunning couple and a gorgeous day to boot – couldn’t have asked for more.

Acting alone can make capturing every moment a difficult task; however the preparation the Bride and I went through prior to the big day really benefitted both my work during and the results afterward. We met at the wedding location initially where she described to me a little of what she wanted. I had asked her to send me any inspirational ideas she had for the look of her photographs to help improve my knowledge of what she was expecting. Over the next few months Casey also sent a Timeline of the day so I knew exactly how she wanted it to go. With this groundwork I was able to capture the best moments of the day and the results have been some of my best work to date.

Casey and Devyn were quite pleased with the photos as well. Once I was able to finish editing and going through all of them I initially sent them a drop box link, which they could easily print and save from along with the digital rights release to the photos via email. Shortly following that I mailed them a Flash Drive including the images from the day as well as another digital rights release (can’t ever hurt to have a hard backup copy!).
